Reflective writing

This painting depicts how I often feel uneasy in a relationship, filled with the conflicting fear of being bound and the desire to be restrained. In the early paintings, I compared my childhood self to my grandfather's favorite flower, so in the background of this painting, my childhood experiences vaguely symbolize the influence of the past on my current and future psychological state. The outstretched hand in the picture means that many people hope to receive help in intimate relationships when feeling powerless, but most relationships are like shackles on the hand, only bringing anxiety and restraint. Unhealthy relationships are like a double-edged sword, bringing only temporary happiness and satisfaction. Most of the time, they are poisonous thorns that grow on the petals, and the aftermath of the damage is also difficult to eliminate. I still chose blue as the main hand in the picture, which is the most representative element of my will in the picture, while the background chose a warm color tone for contrast, which also metaphorically represents the illusion of happiness brought by a false intimate relationship. Being controlled or abused while immersed in a relationship is a sign of being unable to handle the relationship properly. And in the two paintings before and after, there is also a close transitional relationship with it
